چکیده

Nowadays, as the global population grows, demand for food is also becoming higher each day. Together with rise in demand, Muscovy duck has been gradually bred industrially a poultry supply along chicken. The change from traditional to industrial breeding poses potential risk of pathogenic bacteria infection and antimicrobial resistance bacteria. Especially Salmonella, one leading pathogens worldwide, notable its resistance. In this study, by using carcasses collected wet markets 05 districts Ha Noi, we assessed rate Salmonella at first, then conducted an antibiotic susceptibility test utilizing 15 types antibiotics, whole genome sequencing was applied 8 multidrug resistant isolates. Next, genomic data after successfully sequenced used analyzing genes, genotypes, multi-locus sequence-based typing (MLST), virulence factors, plasmids. 65% samples were positive which 95% (19/20 strains) isolated resistant. result antibiotics indicated that phenotypic ampicillin most observed (92.3%, 19/20), followed tetracycline (90%, 18/20), cefuroxime (85%, 17/20), cefazolin ceftriaxone Cefotaxime trimethoprim (70%, 14/20), gentamicin (60%, 12/20), chloramphenicol (55%, 11/20), nalidixic acid ceftazidime (50%, 10/20), ciprofloxacin (2/20). However, all isolates susceptible cefoxitin meropenem. Sixty-five genes identified, including are aminoglycoside, 3rd generation (cefotaxime, cefoperazone, ceftizoxime, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone, etc.). Col, IncA plasmids some mobile genetic elements identified. Simultaneously islands found strains, exclusively SPI 1, 3, 9 carried every isolate.

The isolation of antibiotic-resistant salmonella from retail ground meats.

BACKGROUND Salmonella is a leading cause of foodborne illness. The emergence of antimicrobial-resistant salmonella is associated with the use of antibiotics in animals raised for food; resistant bacteria can be transmitted to humans through foods, particularly those of animal origin. We identified and characterized strains of salmonella isolated from ground meats purchased in the Washington, D....

Description of the Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata) karyotype.

The karyotype of the Muscovy duck originating from Cairina moschata was characterised on the basis of R and C bands. Chromosomal preparations obtained from an in vitro blood lymphocyte culture were RBG- and CBG-stained. The structures of nine and fourteen pairs of chromosomes were examined based on R bands and C bands, respectively. Ideograms of banded patterns of the analysed chromosomes were ...

Comparison of polymerase chain reaction and bacterial culture for Salmonella detection in the Muscovy duck in Trinidad and Tobago.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to investigate the presence and serovar identity of Salmonella, at the national level, in farmed Muscovy ducks (Cairina moschata) in Trinidad and Tobago, and to compare the relative benefits of bacterial culture to those of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for use in the routine detection and surveillance of Salmonella in these ducks. METHODS From March...
